BEND SINISTER, NO SINNER, HARD DRUGS, and DIRTY SPELLS

    BEND SINISTER
    http://bendsinisterband.com/
Once there was nothing, then Darwin invented evolution. Then there was everything. This Vancouver band has evolved through numerous styles to become a band so refreshingly original that the struggle to categorize  them is a losing battle. Overheard: math to prog to pop, but really, rock. Darwin: left scratching his head. Music scene: geometrically expanded.

    NO SINNER
    http://www.nosinner.com
Whiskey-swilling, bar-fighting, smokey-lyric’d blues rock has never had such a hot ass. And broad appeal. Vancouver quartet No Sinner make you stomp your heels, your mom snap her fingers, and your child-to-be kick at your womb like a horse galloping into a dusty sunset. Proof: 100 and up. Taken: neat. Chaser: none; harden up.

    HARD DRUGS
    http://partyforeverer.tumblr.com
Reality is for people who can’t handle Hard Drugs. The band has once again reinvented itself—as a band, as an image, and as a way to keep on keepin’ on. Country, folk, psychedelic, and powerpop are all part of the chemistry of this husband and wife. Party: forever. Party Hard Drugs
    style: Foreverer.

    DIRTY SPELLS
    http://dirtyspells.bandcamp.com
Get bent on musical black magic. But instead of a pansy magic wand, use two drummers. And instead of a long, majestic beard, think laser beam violins. These aren’t five wizards in training, they are Vancouver’s answer to garage-psych mayhem. Secret ingredient: sonic screams. Secret weapon: earplugs.
