Inspired by such bands as The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Killing Joke, in 1985 Jeff Pawson, Peter Burns, Gary Economy and Dave Goodman formed The Gathering. Three years later the group disbanded. Inspired by the resurgence of the Post Punk, New Wave and the 80’s music movement, they reformed in 2018, and were signed by German label Cold Transmission Music.
2022 sees the release of Parade, a collection of the bands Love Songs and Night Light Ep’s plus two new tracks all produced by Jason Corbett of ACTORS.
The Becky Black Band
The Covid-19 pandemic pumped the brakes on a lot of things, where we all ceased to live our lives and job our jobs the way we used to. As an unprecedented fog of uncertainty fell upon us, we all reacted in our own ways. Becky Black, ½ of long-running legendary Vancouver duo The Pack A.D, had a better plan to work through the anxious weight, creating her debut solo record.
Asian Persuasion All Stars

Asian Persuasion All Stars is a super-ish group of Vancouver-based Asian and non-Asian indie rock musicians. They joined forces together as a way to combat the rise in anti-Asian racism and discrimination in general. In 2021, they released a single of their cover of the Special AKA ska classic, “Racist Friend.” The band and single was intended to be a one-off fundraiser for local anti-racism organization Elimin8Hate, but thanks to the overwhelming positive response to their music and message, the band has stayed together and will continue to perform.
