Origin
https://www.originofficial.com/band
For 20 years, Origin has engaged a full-blown sensory assault of tight, taut, and technical death metal amplified by flashes of grindcore and groove. However, 2017’s Unparalleled Universe [Nuclear Blast, North America / Agonia Records, Rest of World] sees the quartet—Paul Ryan [guitar, vocals], John Longstreth [drums], Mike Flores [bass, vocals], and Jason Keyser [vocals]—strengthens that blueprint with a handful of surprises…
Abysmal Dawn
Hailing from Los Angeles CA, Abysmal Dawn plays an aggressive mix of modern death metal. The band seamlessly blends the hooks and technicality of early 90’s American death metal, with atmosphere, melody and the brutality of their contemporaries.
Tombs
A Brooklyn, New York-based experimental metal outfit that blends bleak post-rock minimalism with the ferocious attack of sludge and classic black metal, Tombs emerged in 2007 and found critical and commercial success in 2011 with their sophomore effort, Path of Totality. Citing a wide array of influences that includes Swans, Darkthrone, Black Flag, and Bauhaus, the group continued to hone their unique brand of blackened extreme metal on subsequent releases like Savage Gold (2014) and The Grand Annihilation (2017).
Killitorous
https://killitorous.bigcartel.com/
Killitorous is a 3 guitar technical death/grind band that features endless blastbeats, non-stop screaming & relentless 90’s movies references.
The Hallowed Catharsis
The Hallowed Catharsis is a progressive technical death metal band local to Vancouver. With a combination of science fiction storytelling and impressive musicianship they are certainly worth checking out. Oddity, pain and passion are key ingredients in the death metal of The Hallowed Catharsis. Each album tells a story and the live show pulls you into their universe.
