A new record from Turnover arrives this fall. Myself in the Way is the band’s fifth full-length album, and it follows their first pause in consistent touring in almost 10 years. While the world was shut down, Turnover’s four bandmates spent time meditating, painting, volunteer firefighting, skateboarding, and working in state parks – deepening interests and growing roots in places they hadn’t been able to while living life on the road for so long.
Yumi Zouma
Alternative pop group Yumi Zouma began as a long-distance home-recording project between friends online. The release of ‘EP I’ in 2014 and ‘EP II’ in 2015 saw the band embraced by the blogosphere, and handpicked to tour with the likes of Lorde before having held a band practice together. The band’s fourth studio album ‘Present Tense’ was released in March of this year.
Horse Jumper of Love
There’s a space between literal and abstract where art often resides, and few bands excel at navigating that surreal territory more deftly than Horse Jumper of Love. On their third full-length, Natural Part, the Boston-based three-piece revels in the act of grasping at something that can’t be held, smudging the lines between rich details, hazy memories, vivid moments, and intangible feelings to create their most captivating record to date.
