Texan Deathcore outfit, Upon a Burning Body stops by the Rickshaw with support from Left To Suffer, Half Me and Bury My Demons.

Upon A Burning Body

On a mission to prove that everything, even metal, is bigger in Texas, San Antonio-based quintet Upon A Burning Body batter crowds with their driving brand of mosh-ready deathcore. Delivering plenty of massive riffs, punishing breakdowns, and hardcore-style gang choruses, the group has a sound that’s surprisingly infectious in what is typically a highly malevolent, take-no-prisoners genre. The band signed on with Sumerian Records, and in 2010 released its debut album, The World Is Ours, on the influential metal label. Upon a Burning Body followed up with their sophomore effort, Red. White. Green., in 2012. The hard-charging, Will Putney-produced The World Is My Enemy Now dropped in 2014, followed in 2016 by Straight From The Barrio, which featured the blistering single “Til the Break of Dawn.”

Now with Seek & Strike, the band strives forward delivering their most honest and crushing metal experience yet, Southern Hostility. No gimmicks, no hard sell, just straight up Texas style, American, metal.

Left To Suffer

Left to Suffer is a 5 piece Nu-Deathcore outfit based out of Atlanta Georgia with Taylor Barber on vocals, Christian Nowatzki on Bass, Peter Higgs and Jacob Gordon on guitars, as well as newest member Alex Vavra on drums.

Half Me

Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, the heavy music five piece was founded in October 2018 after the demise of each others local bands.

In two years time, the band has been able to make an impact in the music scene by self producing music and videos to display their intensive and energetic demeanor. Debuting with four singles to start, It was their latest single ‘Exitwound’ (featuring Jack Bergin of VOID OF VISION) that gave the group a breakthrough and landed the band in the spotlight of KNOTFEST’s “Countdown to Oblivion“.

Half Me release their first ever album titled “SOMA” in 2023 via Arising Empire and served their new video for ‘I Am But A Guest In Exile’ to emphasise this juggernaut of a milestone.

Riding the high of their recent success, Half Me continues and raise the bar with »SOMA« that blends a modern rendition of metal and hardcore with highlights of 90’s nu-metal. Pounding riffs and breakdowns are accompanied by brutal, yet sometimes elegant, vocals that all balance together to formulate the band’s own distinctive sound.
