Detroit’s hedonistic disco punks return! Don’t miss an evening of rocking debauchery with the Electric Six, with guests Volk and Dwi.
This event has been rescheduled from June 2021. Tickets purchased for the original date will be honoured.
Electric Six
Electric Six is a six-piece American rock band formed in 1996 in Detroit, Michigan. The band achieved recognition in 2003 with the singles “Danger! High Voltage” and “Gay Bar”. Electric Six is back with its fourteenth record “Bride of The Devil”, an album that is poppy and feel-good, as well as heavy, both sonically and lyrically.
Volk
Lightning-charged duo VOLK is a Molotov cocktail of high-octane Rock & Roll and Honky-Tonking Country swagger. Boasting musical influences ranging from the Carter Family to Little Richard to Dwight Yoakam to ACDC. VOLK is loud suits and loud amps, shiny dresses and shiny drumsets; it’s growling tones and thunderous beats; VOLK is Rock & Roll, Country-Fried.
Dwi
Dwi is a project born out of isolation. While usually playing bass for The Zolas, when the 2020 global pandemic saw the world stop, Dwi took the time to create something new, exciting and deeply personal. The songs are reflective in nature, and touch on a range of topics, including childhood, environmentalism, addiction, and the political landscape of the world. An admiration to musical heroes such as The Beatles, Damon Albarn, and The Cure is clear, along with some unusual and unique aspects that are perhaps harder to place.
