Anyone who stopped by the Rickshaw Theatre over the last week no doubt noticed the improvements the club has undergone of late. As promised in the summer, shortly after the venue obtained its liquor-primary licence in June, the East Hastings space underwent a number of upgrades, both cosmetically and sonically.

People who try to present live music in Vancouver are tired of singing the blues. The Town Pump and Starfish Room and Marine Club are long gone, and Richard’s on Richards is still in the process of morphing into something in the old A&B Sound space on Seymour.
