Anciients
Metal band from British Columbia, Canada that showers the ears with an avalanche of brilliant stoner progressive metal riffs that come crashing down your speakers, driven by a relentlessly pounding rhythm section. Vancouver’s ANCIIENTS have no time to spare, no fillers, no hesitation, they are just pushing and pulling and banging those heads from start to finish.
Worse
Featuring Shane Clark and Matt Wood, former members of Canadian rock royalty Pride Tiger and 3 Inches of Blood, Worse is bound to be your next heavy-as-hell obsession. There are flecks of various metal subgenres here and there, but the band’s true strength is the ability to blister with just relentless riffs, hammering drums and raw howls.
Empress
Empress is an ambient Doom/ Stoner/ sludge group that encaptures Pacific Northwest in their sound. Influences ranging from Sigur Ros, Elder, Inter Arma and everything in between. They consider their musical vision and pay no regard to the staggering pressures of the scene. Empress’s critically acclaimed stage show, is a fierce experience for fans and spectators Since their formation in 2017.
