Vancouver’s Progressive metal mainstays ANCIIENTS return to the Rickshaw stage on December 8th to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their debut full-length, ‘Heart of Oak’! Catch them with support from more local favourites such as Dead Quiet, Scalding and Bloodrhine!

Anciients

Metal band from British Columbia, Canada that showers the ears with an avalanche of brilliant stoner progressive metal riffs that come crashing down your speakers, driven by a relentlessly pounding rhythm section. Vancouver’s ANCIIENTS have no time to spare, no fillers, no hesitation, they are just pushing and pulling and banging those heads from start to finish.
Their debut album HEART OF OAK (2013) contained the musical equivalent of the warm flow, solid earthiness, and beautifully dark undertones of whisky matured in ancient oak casks within an intoxicating song-writing. While their sophomore VOICE OF THE VOID (2016) delivers smoking hot rock and delicious heaviness in equal measure.
Today we celebrate 10 years of the debut Heart Of Oak in a night full of riffs, friends and metal.

Dead Quiet

Heavy Metal/Doom/Rock n’ Roll from Vancouver, BC. Always striving for heavy instrumentation combined with rich melody and uniquely personal lyricism, making Dead Quiet one of the hottest, must-see bands on the Canadian landscape.

Scalding

Hailing from the Pacific Northwest of Canada, Scalding combines all the best elements of new and old black metal and distills them into one devastating sound. It’s brutal without sounding monotone, melodic without being cheesy, atmospheric whilst still providing the riffs. Scalding is the past, present, and future of black metal.

Bloodrhine

New Fast & Heavy Band In Town. Vancouver, BC. Members of Black Wizard, BISON & 1982.
