Iconic Vancouver post punk group Images in Vogue return to their hometown for their first live performance since 2004! Catch them on Rickshaw stage Saturday, June 8th with guests Combine the Victorious, Devours and DJ Evilyn13.

Images In Vogue was formed in April 1981 out of a common interest in synthesizer based music and the post punk experimental scene coming out of England. The band made its live debut in September of 1981 at “Elektra – Vancouver’s First Fashion Dance” and would go on to open for Depeche Mode less than a year later.
Throughout the 1980’s the band received nominations for a Juno Award and several West Coast Music Awards and consistently toured opening for the likes of Duran Duran, Roxy Music, and Bryan Adams as well as headlining their own shows. In 1991 the band went on hiatus. Since reuniting in the early 2000’s Images in Vogue have continued to play one off shows, festivals and small tours.
Images in Vogue now returns to Vancouver for the first time since 2004 with members Dale Martindale, Gary Smith, Joe Vizvary, Glen Nelson, Ed Shaw, Derrick Gyles, and Tim Welch

Combine the Victorious is the sublime musical blend of a David Lynch movie, the Eurythmics and Portishead. The indie electronic pop band create melodies with soulful lyrics and arpeggiated notes written from the rain soaked streets of Vancouver, Canada.
Devours
Devours is the stage name of Jeff Cancade, a Canadian electronic musician. His music has been described as “a pseudo-goth, synth-heavy electronic project that occupies a uniquely experimental, queer niche in Vancouver” by The Globe and Mail. Outside of Devours, Cancade has also composed music for television and film.
DJ EVILYN13
Evilyn13 is an alternative DJ in the Vancouver nightlife scene and one half of the Restricted Entertainment team. She has been a resident DJ locally at Coffin Club, Sin City Fetish Night and Galaxion and has travelled internationally to DJ where she loves to help people lose themselves in the music she plays.
