Vancouver Ska Punk group Los Furios return to the Rickshaw stage this February 18th, with special guests Cawama and The Dragstrip Devils. With live Burlesque performances from Melody Mangler and Justine Sane.
Los Furios
Los Furios is a Ska Punk band from Vancouver BC. Established way back in 2002, Los Furios have toured Canada, USA and Mexico extensively and have a devoted fan following around the world. Los Furios have played major festivals including the Vans Warped Tour, Non Stop Festival in Mexico and the Victoria Ska Reggae Festival. Committed to entertaining their live audiences, Los Furios perform an intense mix of punk, ska and reggae originals that hit the dance floor hard.
Cawama
Serving as the soundtrack to their youths, the energetic, envelope pushing tones of classic punk and 90’s indie rock, mixed with a healthy nostalgia for late 50’s Surf are without doubt the influential driving forces behind Cawama’s unique brand of music.
The Dragstrip Devils
The Dragstrip Devils are a rockabilly/psychobilly trio based out of Kelowna, British Columbia.
Melody Mangler
Melody Mangler is an award winning, internationally renowned burlesque performer. She co-founded both the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival as well as Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society and has gotten over 300 women onto the burlesque stage for their first time through her signature two month course Becoming Burlesque. Starting her burlesque career in 2003, she is known as Vancouver’s tattooed fireball, and has been a constant competitor at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas winning Best Debut, Best Large Group and Most Comedic. From clowning, to gorelesque to chair acrobatics, you never know what strange world Melody will create for you on the stage.
