This event will take place in the indoor stage as do almost all events from Fall to Spring. Green Auto is a nicely run DIY space in East Vancouver, in the industrial area where there are also numerous artists and performers rehearsal and recording studios. It’s a must-know for the arts and music scene in our city!
See you this Monday at GREEN AUTO MUSIC !!!
Oxbow
Oxbow began as a recording project. In 1988 bandmates Eugene Robinson (vocals, lyrics) and Niko Wenner (guitar, bass, keyboards, music) wrote songs with an approach decidedly different from their band at the time Whipping Boy. Wenner concocted an underlying musical architecture for his abrasive-then-plangent music, through use of arch form and musical palindromes unusual in the noise music genre the band was often placed. This organizing structure later grew to encompass the second Oxbow recording as well, and drew relationships between the two.
Whores
American noise rock band based in Atlanta, Georgia. The band currently consists of vocalist and guitarist Christian Lembach, bass guitarist Casey Maxwell and drummer Douglas Jennings Barrett. It has released two records through Brutal Panda Records and is known for its “intensely cathartic live shows”.
Psychic Trash (FKA Wizard Rifle)
Specializing in the unexpected, noise rock band Wizard Rifle have changed their name to Psychic Trash. They’ve signed to RidingEasy Records to release their first LP under the new name.
