Supersuckers return to Vancouver! Don’t miss the US Hard rock cowpunk pranksters at the Wise Hall with special guest openers, The Hangmen and La Chinga.

Supersuckers

At a time when many alternative rock bands were either filtering hard rock tropes through a filter of irony or reworking them into grunge, the Supersuckers stood out as a band who approached their music with tongue firmly in cheek while still making it clear they loved arena-ready hard rock, both for its absurdity and for its punch-to-the-gut power. Playing like they should be in a 20,000-seat arena, the Supersuckers are like the bastard sons of Foghat, AC/DC, and ZZ Top after being weaned on punk rock, unafraid of massive guitar riffs, outsized personalities, or pledging allegiance to sex, weed, and Satan with a wink and a nudge.

The Hangmen

Legendary Los Angeles underground rock outfit, the Hangmen emerged in the mid-’80s with a sound that blended punk rock brutality and hard rock swagger with rootsy Americana. Inspired by bands like X, Ramones, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Gun Club, and led by singer-guitarist Bryan Small.

La Chinga

La Chinga is a hard Rock power trio with psychedelic powers sitting on the worlds edge in Vancouver, Canada. Drawing from UFO, ZZ Top, Sabs, Zep, MC5 and their own superbad habits, La Chinga has established a fanbase in the USA, Europe and Canada from its killer live shows! Ripple Music from San Francisco is releasing their 4th  lp ‘Primal Forces ‘ this spring/summer! Chock full o’ stadium anthems and rad riffs! The bands new  album is already prompting fans to wonder why they don’t make em like this anymore!
