The Broken Islands

The Broken Islands are a Vancouver, Canada based sextet who meld elements of post-rock, ambient pop, shoegaze, post-punk, trip-hop and dark wave to create their own distinct sound. With crashing guitars and delicate sounding keyboards weaving around swooning, siren-like vocals, the band’s songs can sound at times like an otherworldly sonic experience while still being packed with emotion and moments of tenderness.

Vancouver based artist Ché Aimee Dorval is no stranger to bending and blending genres into her own unique style. She effortlessly mixes trip-hop, folktronica and soul with an alt-rock swagger that comes perfectly packaged under a blanket of raw and hypnotic vocals that she has become known for. Ché is releasing her 3rd studio album “The Crowned” this coming January on UK label “Icons Creating Evil Art”.
