About QMUNITY
QMUNITY is a province-wide resource center that has—since 1979—delivered programs and services to the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and allies who are in need of support and connection. Regardless of age, location, and circumstance, Qmunity is here to ensure queer, trans, and Two-Spirit people can find low-barrier access to mental health resources, peer support, information and referrals, and more.
QMUNITY launched “It Takes a QMUNITY,” a special fundraising campaign to support their move into a new building. Their future new home at 981 Davie will allow them to grow their programs and services, reach more people, and continue driving change in ways that were once unimaginable. The future is bright, and this move marks the beginning of an exciting new era for QMUNITY and every 2SLGBTQIA+ person in BC.

ESCHOIR
ESCHOIR (East Side Choir) is an East Van community choir, singing original choral arrangements of indie rock, pop, and folk music since 2014. They perform two major concerts each year, including their annual Warm & Toasty: A Choir Cozy where they’ve raised funds for many amazing causes, such as the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society, The Great Oven, Options for Sexual Health, and more. ESCHOIR recruits new members in January and September each year – no auditions necessary (new members just need singing experience, a love for crunchy harmonies, and an ear for singing in tune)!
Parlour Panther
https://www.parlourpanthermusic.com/
Parlour Panther is a nonbinary-led indie rock band from Vancouver known for rich vocal harmonies, lush guitar tones, and spacey synths. Their 2024 album BLOOM earned praise from Exclaim!, CBC, and Range. Exclaim! said it “invites you to explore yourself through melodic reflections and infectious beats, pulling sonic inspiration from the likes of the Killers and the glitzier side of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.” Parlour Panther is recording a new album this fall and you can hear some of their new songs at upcoming live shows!
Devours
Devours is the dark synth-pop project of Vancouver-based DIY musician Jeff Cancade. Across five acclaimed underground albums, including 2023’s Polaris Prize-longlisted Homecoming Queen, Devours has written confessional and confrontational electronic music about masculinity, body image, gay politics, and inner-city queer existence. They have toured Canada and the US, received coverage from Vice, CBC, Exclaim, and the Globe and Mail, and have performed at festivals such as SXSW, Treefort Music Fest, Sled Island, JunoFest, Vancouver Jazz Fest, and more. Accompanied by David Prowse (Japandroids) on drums, Devours released their anticipated fifth album Sports Car Era in 2025, culminating in a flurry of buzz, festival slots across Western Canada, sold out shows in Vancouver, and a record deal with revered Canadian label Mint Records.
